I spent many long months trying to get BDE/Interbase5 stable
for 24/7 operation. I never succeeded.
IBObjects cleared many of the problems 'overnight', and
Firebird1.0 gave a rock stable setup which is still running 24/7
I'm accessing Firebird 1.5 from an IBO application and PHP4
without any problems, so would suggest that BDE is a major
hindrance.
