I got fed up with PEAR ;)
At least by loading things myself I can control where things
go, PEAR just kept doing its own thing :)

p.s. I have finally got an SUSE8.2 setup with
Apache2/PHP/FB1.5 and it all works. Just need to write the
documentation now!
