Mark,
My java says that it is Oracle Version 8 Update 201 (build 1.8.0_201-b09).
The Jaybird version looks like 11-4.0.0-beta-1.

That sounds like you are asking me to edit something in Jaybird's configuration. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that (I'd never even heard of it until a few days ago)! If you can give me some guidance I shall have a go.
