What troubles me that in this sample program it seems to be able to load
the character sets just fine, while your real program says it can't find
some of them.

Is there a difference between how you compiled the test program and your
normal application?

Could reflection influence the way Excelsior Jet works (JDBC drivers are
loaded through reflection).
