Hi,
One of the products my employer sells is done with Hibernate 3.6 and
Firebird 2.5 (using Jaybird 2.1.6) and it works very well.
I can not provide you with an example, but since Hibernate does not really
care about the underlying DB, you can use any example code from the net.
I would suggest to use an UTF-8 database from the beginning since we ran
into issues with non-UTF-8 databases.
Also, spring-roo works with Firebird and OpenJPA or Hibernate. This is very
interesting to get you started
