Subject Re: [Firebird-Java] Jdeveloper

Hello,

I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 with Java 1.5.

To register the Jaybird driver with oracle's JDeveloper, from the main menu
choose Tools -> Manage Libraries.
Under the library tab add a new entry, choose the path to the Jaybird driver
using the "Add Entry" button.

From the Connections tab (main menu, View -> Connection Navigator) create a
new DB connection using the "Third party JDBC Driver" option.
The program will ask for a connection name, user name, password, driver
class, library & classpath (click "Browse" and select the library created
earlier), url
(jdbc:firebirdsql:firebird_server_ip_address/3050:/path_to_your_gdb_file).
Press the "Test" on the last page to test your connection.

Hope this helps,

Catalin Florean.
