I've actually got everything (other than JBoss, of course) working on
Mandriva 10.2. I *did* however need to get the compat-libstdc++
package in order to have libstdc++.so.5, which is needed by the 4870
build of libfbembed.so. I used the Fedora Core 3 package (via
rpmfind.net) - it works fine.

(OT - this little server is a vintage IBM Thinkpad 390E PII-M that I
picked up for $90 Aus. with a dead hard-drive. It was funny, I was
in a techo chat-room a few months ago when I had upgraded the HDD on
my "real-life" laptop, and asked if anyone wanted a 20 Gb laptop
hard-drive...this guy said "Do you want a laptop to put the drive
into?"...it went on from there...the TP worked sweetly with my
surplus drive, Mandrake 10.1 and the 128 Mb RAM it had. But I
changed the RAM for the 256 Mb pair I had left over from the other
laptop upgrade, sold the 128 Mb RAM pair from the the TP for $35 on
eBay and bought a PCMCIA Ethernet card for $20...so my handy little
portable black server for my testing and site demos cost $75
overall. Ironically, the thing I like most about the Thinkpad is the
brilliance of the graphics display....but, running it as a server, I
don't use X at all.)
