As far as I know, message is limited to 72? bytes. There were some talks
about a possibility to construct a message on the fly, but I do not know the
outcome. Better ask in Firebird-Support.

BTW, would it be possible for you to share the code that obtains events via
C/C++ component and publishes them to a Java server code? I think this will
be interesting for many people in this group.
