Francisco, excuse-me because my english is bad.

Try put in your connection string the charset that you use.
Example:

jdbc:firebirdsql:localhost/3050:/home/maninho/fontes/carga/bd/dbp_banco.fdb?
lc_ctype=ISO8859_1

Thanks for answering Sergio Lopes Brazilian but as we are in a list where
the main language is Enlgish for respetc we must write in English.
Regarding to your answer I have already used ISO8859_1 but doesnt work, I
think is something related to the JDBC Driver which I downloaded today.
Could you send me any example where you are using caracters like ÇÃÉÍÕ and
you were successful?
