It's looking like it's my bad. The dates that were returning zero had
somehow been deleted from the test database (which is what my
development platform's app server was pointing to) but DBW (where I was
testing the queries) was pointing at the production database.

JayBird is compiled with debug information. Sources are also available

DDL does not help. I would need data, even dummy ones (important are IDs

dates, rest is more or less garbage from my POV).

That is bad... If this is not reproducable, then it can also happen that
in
Database Workbench you're just lucky...

Try asking about such SQL construct in Firebird-Support, maybe you get
more
information there.
