What version of the server do you use? I remember there were issues
with GDS32.DLL in Firebird 1.5 on Windows 98 (for compatibility
reasons GDS32.DLL is a wrapper for FBCLIENT.DLL and there are some
issues in loading a DLL from a DLL). As far as I remember, the only
workaround was to copy FBCLIENT.DLL into GDS32.DLL (or vice versa,
depending which has bigger size)). You can try to ask also in
Firebird-Support about this problem.
