Subject Re: [Firebird-Java] Unnecessary padding to Strings read

Hi Prabhakar,

It looks like Roman already answered your question in more detail than the
FAQ (as usual), but for future reference:

Check the FAQ that is in the distribution of JayBird that you have. The html
version is called faq.html. If it doesn't have an item 40 you may want to
update JayBird, because it is relatively old (at least a few months). The
newest one is dated 8/1/03.

One of the older versions also had an incorrect title for the link in the
table of contents for item 40 (same as 41) but the data was correct in the
body.

It is in the new 1.0.1 JayBird distribution on Yahoogroups and SourceForge.

You can also go to
http://www.ibphoenix.com/main.nfs?a=ibphoenix&l=;IBPHOENIX.FAQS;NAME='JayBird'

It isn't on the Firebird web page on SourceForge yet because I got slack
about uploading it. I finally got it uploaded to the Sourceforge Firebird
area so it should be on that web page soon too.

Rick
