Grrrrr. Please, do not post in HTML!

You can usa FirebirdSQL-1.0 JDBC driver (aka JayBird) to connect to
InterBase 6.0.x, but we do not guarantee compatibility. It should work
since Firebird 1.0.x is compatible with it on the remote protocol
level, but you use it on your own risk. You will not be able to
connect to InterBase 6.5 or 7.x. If you're looking for a free
database, switch to the Firebird.
