Good thing. I would get and install the OO tarball then.

Let me know if you have problems installing Java on your linux machine.
I do it via tarball, or .bin file, and then configure my env manually.

You can most likely get away with a rpm though. Since you really do not
need to much env stuff for OO.

You just need to be able to type java at command line and get something
other than command not found error.

Otherwise OO should be able to find it, and everything else from there
should be the same as it was on windows.

Except of course you can use single / for file paths. Unless the Fb
server is a win machine, then you will need to stick with the \\.
