One of our contractors is trying to use firebird and cold fusion. They are experiencing the same problems as in the original email below. I wonder if there has been any updates since then (I could not find any, which is why I am posting).
Another option (maybe) is on the default connection parameters in the jdbc source code, I'm looking there now, but always prepared to accept suggestions :)
Thanks
Bill

Subject: [Firebird-Java] Cold Fusion MX with Jaybird
I'm trying to get a Cold Fusion MX server to talk to a Firebird
database. SELECT queries work fine, but UPDATE, INSERT and DELETE all
cause CF to choke and hang.
We are using the newest update for Cold Fusion, and Jaybird 1.0.1.
Does anyone have ideas what to do? I know that previous updates of
CFMX broke something. The solution was to copy the Executive.class
file from a previous CFMX update into the current one.
In theory, this problem was solved with the newest update of Cold
Fusion. Our experience, though, is that it wasn't.
Does anyone have a similar experience, or suggestions on what to do?
Graham
