Are you sure that smartcvs doesn't make use of cvs? I use WinCVS, which
actually calls cvs to perform cvs-commands...

The driver now needs some classes from jboss, and these are downloaded
via cvs, but only if ant doesn't find the thirdparty/jboss directory.
