InterClient 2.01 is a type 3 JDBC driver, not developed by Firebird
team. Borland has InterClient 2.5, but it is available only when you
buy InterBase 6.5.

JCA/JDBC driver is type 4 JDBC driver that is developed and
maintained by a Firebird team.

Your InterClient problems seems to be related to you browser. Check
if JVM used in your browser has permission to connect to a host
running InterServer.
