Ken, thanks for your response. I thought that might be what it was,
but it was not. Autocommit is on by default. I still don't know
what caused the failure, but removing the jars from VAJ classpaths,
restarting VAJ, then re-adding the jars seems to have solved the
issue. At this point, it looks like the issue lies more with the VAJ
WTE than with the driver.
