Interclient has been available for a long time and may be presumed to be
fairly stable. However, I think no one on the firebird team is interested
in supporting it for free (I'm certainly not). The type 4 driver is under
active development and any problems you find are apt to be fixed quickly.
Apparently several people have been using it in production for several
months.
