The problem is, that the db swing components from Jbuilder are using this
method and there is not much I can do about this other than not using the
JBuilder component library. If this method gets implemented, the JBuilder
stuff wil be useble also for blobs.

methods, which ARE implemented, but as blob object you must provide a
byte[] array.
