Hi,
This is good news. Finally a type 4 driver... I'm sorry that I cannot help
you with it...
One thing though, InterClient is a type 3 driver, just because you need
InterServer, right? But actually, lots of other RDBMSses do the same - with
one difference, they install the JDBC server part with the database engine
part. This way, you won't notice a thing about type 3 drivers... If I'm
correct, even Oracle has a JDBC type 3 driver, but it runs a seperate
process on the server, just like IB...
Has anyone thought about combining the InterBase server and InterServer in
one install? After all, InterServer is part of the database engine... well,
sort of.
