jw,

I have read your error message. It states that InterClient, i.e. the client-side of the JDBC driver contained in interclient.jar, uses protocol version 20001:

InterClient Release:                   2.0.1 Test Build,
Client/Server Edition
InterClient compatible JRE versions:   1.3
InterClient compatible IB versions:    5, 6
InterClient driver name:               interbase.interclient.Driver
InterClient JDBC protocol:             jdbc:interbase:
InterClient JDBC protocol version:     20001
InterClient expiration date:           no expiration date

It however does not say what protocol version is used/expected by InterServer, which is the server-side piece of the JDBC driver. Your error messages are identical with those I received after installing InterServer 2.0.2 alongside InterClient for JDK 1.3. But if you are really sure you are not running InterServer 2.0.2, I cannot help you anyway.

jb,

No, it uses InterClient JDBC protocol version:     20001. See my
previous error message.
