This can be a clarification: I think that the message of all these last
posts, is that this Driver is not designed/intended to be used the 'old'
way, i.e. through the DriverManager or through a ConnectionPoolDataSource,
and that can be confusing for most of us (or at least for me).
What baffles me, is that I finally found an actively developed Type 4 driver
for Interbase but I can't simply plug it into my JDBC2 application (with my
favorite JDBC2 connection pooling system) since it is not recommended by the
driver's developers self.
