I guess we should really have been helping with the testing using our live sysems. But, with this major new version, testing seemed to be a much bigger deal, and did not sit well with our need to simultaneously support a load of 2.1x systems, and would require either separate machines, or two versions of FB running on the same machine. Am I wrong?

RC3 is being cooked right now.

Delay is due to the fact that many bugs are being reported and fixed
by the team, delaying the new releases. People seems to start testing
FB only in the RC cycle (not earlier).
