BTW, once upon a time I did survey about how much money people are
ready to spend to visit FB conference. It showed that if total expenses,
including vizum, transfer, hotel, and conference fees are bigger than
500 euros, nobody is ready to go.
Taking that transfer is about 300 euros and two nights in Andel's is
200 euros, no money to fees left.
Conferences, run by a university have at least one advantage: no need
to rent lecture rooms.
