I was talking about technical aspects, not market advance. If it slows
down in development, it will gradually lost market share when the
competitors became more suitable for such a task.

Let's not forget that once upon a time ago, DBF was the number one on
desktop software :)

Yep... But even if not directed involved on strategic decisions, it will
affect you in some manner, perhaps writing some kind of interface
software, or consulting to the costumers that want to take the way out
of Oracle arms. ;)
