Hi Tomneko,
did you use the default my.cnf vs. default firebird.conf.
As you probably know the differ a great deal on buffer-sizes.
If it is possible it would be interesting to see what happens
if you increase the fb-buffers accordingly.
NTFS faster than ext3... You will have a hard time to convice
me and others there... ;-).
