There is just as much ambivalence over PHP in Firebird as there is over
Firebird in PHP :(
The current situation has been explained on the firebird-php list, and as of
the last hour or so, the situation is simply that the WINDOWS side of PHP
needs some help getting out of a hole, and need people who can actually test
Firebird to do so for them. The same applies to the other database that they
do not have anybody using at their end.
There is still the agro with PDO, and I'm not going to waste time trying to
fix that myself, but watch this space ...

Perhaps at some point I'll even get around to compiling Firebird without the
pigging M$ compiler :)
