Subject Impending interview

spam filters...)

Hi Helen, Paul, Marketing team,

I've just been called by an reporter from ComputerWorld magazine, asking for
a story about how we use Firebird...

Any pointers, important things to get across, tips on presenting a
fantastically positive impression of Firebird.

I'm hoping to convey:
History of Firebird, beginnings, technology pioneered decades before rival
DB's
Importance of not comparing with MySQL/Access - completely different systems
to satisfy completely different requirements.
Providing three ideal architectures (SS,CS,Emb), and strengths/weaknesses of
each, versus trying to address all requirements with one architecture.

Experience here against MySQL, SQL Server, and shortcomings with those
systems.
Value of relationships with other Open Source DB providers (MySQL,
PostgreSQL), to cater for a massive range of storage requirements

I was so nervous, I spun a story about getting approval for releasing
information about our use of it (which is actually unofficial anyway...).
Interview will take place sometime today or tomorrow...

Nige.
