- Being a legitimate, accepted, credible Firebird reseller
- The benefit of 70 developers working on the core, drivers, tools, etc.
- 2000 voices promoting the code base (the people reading this list)

A subttle point is "Long Term Credibility", a major issue with big
accounts. Even if DevCo goes bankrupt or is bought out by MS, or
whatever, the community will still be there and guarantee a future for
the code base. For this reason it is in my opinion important that the
community keeps a life of its own and is not usurped by DevCo.
