According to Lino Tadros and Steve Teixeira(comments dated back in
August 2005), it would be a good thing. What is happening at Borland
is that the ALM division is not doing that well and to make it look
that it is making money, they are taking some of the profits made from
the IDE division. The BDS is actually making money and it's the ALM
division that is sinking Borland. Maybe with the purchase Segue, the
ALM division will get back in the black, but currently Borland is in
the red overall. What I would be waiting to see would be which
developer would switch to the purchasing company to continue the
development of the Developer Studio and JBuilder.
