Some company here was willing to pay me for development rather than
giving money for some commercial replicator (they had 40+
installations). I planned to write the initial functional version and
open source the entire code, so a lot of people would test before going
into production.

However, few weeks later the entire deal broke off as they switched away
from Firebird, so it is all left at a planning stage (even that incomplete).
