Are you in a hurry? So do it with the latest production
version: 1.5.2. Test your application over it and see if
any of the new reserved words cause any trouble.
(I am assuming that the DB is using Dialect 3 already)

[Time to final release]
To reach the point of launching the final release of
FB 1.5, the testers took a entire year between the first
alpha to the last Release Candidate to assure the quality
of the version.
Recently, the people organizing the QA activities created the
"Managed Field Test Program" - a attempt to get it ready
faster than 1.5 but assuring the quality with the same (or
even more) sureness than before.
If they manage to reduce the time it will take to half
of the time it took for version 1.5 it means 6 months.
So my *WILDEST GUESS* at it is: I won't hope to see a
v2 final release before the end of Octuber...
