My suggestion is that you can use Delphi for Windows and Kylix for
Linux, of course the database in both would be FireBird.
Delphi y Kylix are the same syntax and the GUI are almost the same. I
know that Kylix is a bit heavy than Delphi. Also, You can reuse the code
and just recompile it. I think the last weekend we had a good
discussion about the best version in Delphi.

I'm a consulting in ERP systems so I'm really interesting about your
system. Every time that someone came with an idea of develop a MRPII
system catch my interest. I always want to do it by myself but never
have the time. I would glad to help you if you need and assistance.
