Yes it is, it uses the same ODS as FB2, and the databases should be plug and
play compatible, why don't you have a look on the IBPhoenix web site for more details.
Vulcan was an early "experimental" cut of the FB2 tree to implement SMP in the
Firebird engine. FB2 has some new features that Vulcan doesn't...
We plan to release FB2 and Vulcan around the same time, and let developers choose
which engine they want. FB3, will be a merge of Vulcan and FB2 to bring the two
back together.
