Is it worth it? How would Postfix benefit from using Firebird. I'm just
wondering, because for small sites flat files are more than adequate. And
Firebird's strength lies in concurrent access to data that is being
updated by other users. Does Postfix's database usage need Firebird?

Do you mean changing the cyrus database backend? I thought Cyrus was
tightly tied to the Berkely DB?
