Fyracle's developer, Paul Ruizendahl, was a presenter at the Firebird
Conference last year. For several months - since Paul got Fyracle into a
"packageable" state, we have had a link through to his Janus site from the
Umbrella page

You can also track a lot of the earlier discussion in the
Firebird-Architect list archives. Of interest is Paul's (high-level)
design proposal for external stored procedures, which remains a longer-term
design objective for Firebird.
