It sounds that this news are very positive for the Firebird Project.
If Persavise took this step, was certainly because there was a need in
the market to use Open Source software with an additional warranty
provided by a commercial company. Novell step into linux is another good
example. Commercial companies giving support, certified versions,
training, and at the same time bringing more Value with add-ons, etc,
it's the logical way for the commercial market to start using OS
software without changing rules and mentality.
