Really? Are you saying this is the reason? It's the first time I hear
it, whereas I have heard the other arguments many times before.

Unluckily I don't think this is the only problem, not even one of the
most important ones. After all FIRST/SKIP are there without a blessing
from the SQL committee (even *against* it, actually).
