The road map for Firebird 2.0 is "under construction". It's almost done,
could be a question of days, or a question of weeks.

Let's wait for the roadmap. In the meanwhile, release 1.5.1 it's on RC
(Release Candidate) stage. I think there is a RC3 already. This version
will be just to fix some small bugs, version 2.0 will bring bigger changes.

Well, I know that this will not help you much. :-( But you will find a
lot of people here that really know about the changes, since we follow
the project very close, so maybe we can answer some specific questions
while you wait for the roadmap. :-)
