Thanks for the response Helen,

I unfortunatly must be suffering from IDONTREADTOWELL, as I didn't
send the message to the Devel group using employee.fdb, but using my
query and offering my GDB file.

I'll wait until tomorrow and if need be I'll repost it using
employee.fdb as the database.
