ALL our small sites have ISDN dial-up. With 64k links.
IB_SQL works great over that link, and we can handle most things without
having to transfer the whole database. Add WinVNC, and you can tweak
other things as well. An engineer dials in without having to visit.

So no I'm not surprised - it's one of the reasons for WANTING to
maintain the full client/server :)
