Well looking at it Firebird was develop as a multi user system. So looking
at what performance one gets using as a single user distributed application
is quite amazing. I have had quite a look on the internet for a database as
feature rich , fast , small resource usage , proven reliability and most
important a cheap license to distribute. Well suddenly the amount of
availible databases becomes very small not to say tiny. Firebird is good at
what it was built to do. I just hope they would increase the security of it
a bit.
