Having just presented a paper at the Fulda Conference on MySQL to
Firebird conversion I hope I can answer your question, but I need some
more information.

I have PHP tools that will help convert a MySQL script to Firebird 1.5,
and that script can then be run in on of the Firebird tools, but what
are you currently using for your apps, so I can point you a more
appropriate way.

Nice to hear that you have 'seen the light' and are at least looking at
a real SQL database :)
