You're arguing with the wrong person then. I happen to agree. ;-)
But the need to have a document-based store is real.
I share your points. Still I (and many others) need to do what I said
in my first post in this thread. If the pure relational model can't
address these issues then something else - not necessarily the best
way - will have to.
So people should stop complaining that XML is not the solution and
propose a solution. ;-) Because the problem is real.
