Thomas,
<blunt mode>
GBak is **not** a backup utility. It is a data migration/database
rebuild tool which can be used to backup/restore small/medium databases.
It is not a serious tool to address the issues raised in 7/24 and large
database (2-3GB++) environments. You can't run a business if it takes
4+ hours to restore your live database -- you need something which can
be restored a tape drive speeds (10's Mb/s), which is 5-15 faster than
GBak could EVER perform at.
</blunt mode>
NBackup is designed specifically/exclusively to address backup/restore
problems. No more, no less.
