Hello,
Just for the record, I tried searching Google with the following statements:
"Firebird", "Firebird security Problems","Firebird browser","Firebird
database".
From this search, the results where:
1) Firebird: 1st item was FirebirdSql
2) Firebird security problems: 1st item was FirebirdSql addressing Interbase
flaws
3) Firebird browser: 1st item was Mozilla
4) Firebird database: 1st item was FirebirdSql
Imho, this is a quite "fair" ranking, since practically all of us assume
"browser" as
"web browser" and not as "database browser".
This being said, Mozilla's behaviour has been *really* questionable, as it
has
been the one of those in Firebird Lists who decided to insult and mail bomb
Mozilla's staff members.
I wrote in public, stating it would have been a shame that a legal quarrell
arose for the issue.
I'm nobody in the "establishment" of both projects, but I am a
Firebird db user and a peaceful person.
If you want, here it is what I thought: I would encourage a chat session
with
*impartial* moderators, which would allow clarification of the matter.
Let's sit around a virtual "table" and talk all together.
I can supply an IRC channel for the matter.
So, please, now let's cut this down to reason, talk all together, and be
friends again.
My 2c,
Andrew
