I think the article is right. It tries to be conservative on what should be
done. That there are shortcuts that work sometimes may mislead users. We
don't play advertisement in the edge (even if some devs take shortcuts based
on their experience) about things that *may* work and need further
clarifications (IE, "only if you are in..."), since we don't need to
disseminate marketing bullshit.
