According to "Brendan Eich", quoting his post:

" We want to fix the branding problem soon. I'm not able to speak for
staff right now, but I hope to have something to say within a week
or so.

I wanted to let you all know that mozilla.org will rename Mozilla
Firebird as soon as possible. The renaming won't happen before the
Mozilla Firebird 0.7 release due this month.

As posted on Wednesday the 12th of September this year. It seems
v0.7 is out - and the website (and beta website of mozilla.org) mentions
Firebird pretty much everywhere. So I guess someone is going to be
doing a whole lot of extra work there when the name change comes.
