Work on FB2 was started some 10 months ago by Mike Nordell. Last fall
John Belardo contributed his work on a new memory manager. I have done
some work to rid the code of old/ancient ports.

The v2 code base, however, has been largelly 'ignored' as efforts have
been focused on the final v1.0 release.

After the upcoming v1.0 release/ship date, you can expect that FB2 will
come into prominance.
